How licensing works
PinPlot is primarily a software-only platform. You buy active tag capacity — slots — and source your own hardware wherever you like.
Choose your slots
Each plan includes a fixed number of active tag slots. A slot is one asset tracked at any one time, regardless of which technology it uses.
Bring your own tags
Source your tags directly. Scan to activate and the asset starts reporting into your portal immediately.
Swap freely
When a tag reaches end of life, retire it and activate a replacement into the same slot — at no extra software cost.
Built for consumable tags
Tags like the Tracksolid PB708 last around two months in the field. Your plan limit is a concurrency cap, not a lifetime one — so you can cycle through as many physical tags as you need over the year while staying on the same plan, as long as you never exceed your active slot count.
